Position Summary:

The Coaching and Inclusion Manager is responsible for coordinating approaches to service delivery in the areas of Teacher Coaching, Disabilities, Mental Health, Dual Language Learners, and School Transitions in Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe, and White counties. This includes coordination of supports for classroom staff. The Coaching and Inclusion Manager supervises the Early Intervention & School Readiness Specialists and the Mentor Coach and is a member of the administrative team.

Essential Functions:

The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with local elementary school principals, disability service leaders, and mental health consultants
  • Develop and maintain Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with Local Education Associations (LEAs) in compliance with IDEA and ESSA
  • Develop and monitor implementation of the program's Transition Plan for EHS to HS and HS to Kindergarten transitions
  • Ensure coaching of teaching strategies aligned with implementation of the Practice-Based Coaching Model
  • Identify training needs and ensure education staff are provided with training, coaching, and consultation so that all children may fully participate in the program
  • Ensure provision of resources that support Dual Language Learners
  • Ensure provision of mental health services to children, families, and staff through the program's Mental Health Consultant
  • Maintain understanding of the program's practices to strengthen social-emotional development through Conscious Discipline and Trauma-informed practices
  • Collaborate in the organization and delivery of monthly Professional Development Days and annual Pre-Service
  • Attend administrative meetings and All-Agency meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Bauer Policies, State Licensing, ESSA, IDEA, and Head Start Program Performance Standards



To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks.


  • Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood development, sociology, or related field
  • Valid Driver's License

 Experience Required:

  • 3-5 years previous related experience
  • 3-5 years previous supervisory experience

 Physical Requirements:

To accomplish the essential functions of the position, one must be physically able to operate or work with computers, calculators, reference books, computer software applications, phones, and other standard office equipment. The physical activities of the position include talking, reaching, grasping, light lifting, bending, squatting, and other repetitive motions.

 Working Conditions:

  • Work is considered sedentary and performed mainly in a pleasant office environment with rare exposure to environmental factors
  • Minimal safety hazards with general working conditions
  • Travel up to 25%
